Vacature - Sourcing Manager Chemicals

Company and Position:
Procurementnetwork is searching on behalf of Access Business Group, part of Alticor Inc ,
for a MND Sourcing Manager Europe Chemicals at their European Regional Service
Center in Venlo, The Netherlands. In this position, you will become part of the European Strategic Procurement department, reporting directly to the European Procurement
Manager based in the UK. Excellent remuneration - 80.000 and upto 96.000k incl.
var. bonus of 20% annual salary - and good growing opportunities.

The Challenge:
You will be working as part of a combined European and US team with the responsibility
to transfer manufacturing of Homecare products from Access Business Group's own production lines in the US to a European Contract Manufacturer. In this role your primary
task is to deliver effective sourcing from European suppliers of chemical products to
ensure consistent supply of these raws to the European contract manufacturer.
Working alongside the Contract Manufacturer and Global Sourcing Manager it is important
to identify the balance between global leverage opportunities and ensure raw material suppliers deliver to pre defined criteria. You will start the sourcing project with a range of household products, raws and packaging identified for phase 1 of localization activity
(40 items) with a multi-million annual spend value. Identifying savings opportunities and efficiencies through TCO principles alongside procurement, supply chain, quality management, operations and R&D will ensure success. In addition further phases of localization are in progress, adding more product lines to your sourcing responsibilities
and your further involvement in this localization initiative.

Tasks / Accountabilities:
The Sourcing Manager proactively develops and integrates long-term procurement
strategies for complex categories of direct materials spend providing sourcing and technological expertise,
The Sourcing Manager will lead sourcing efforts for direct materials spend and collaborate with other functions on supply chain initiatives to achieve competitive advantage, total cost
of ownership efficiency and improve responsiveness to customer demand.
Strong collaboration with key business partners to foster supply chain and product innovation,
Works closely with contract manufacturer of homecare in Europe, to ensure most
effective sourcing of chemical and packaging requirements,
Develops, maintains and champions marketplace information respective to key raw materials - chemicals and packaging - allowing continuous assessment of product
total cost structures,
Makes short and long term strategic supply recommendations based upon research and analysis within own range responsibilities and behalf of the entire department,
Works towards close relationships with appropriate departments, identifying needs
and areas of weakness to develop upon opportunities improving overall departmental interaction.

Your Profile and Experience:
You have experience in setting up and/or managing new sourcing projects and processes;
You are pro-active, enjoy setting up clear processes and efficient operating
principles and have excellent communication skills;
You have five to nine years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain
and preferably some years direct experience in sourcing and managing household; chemical and/or packaging products;
You have a bachelor or masters degree in BA, supply chain, procurement or
technical field;
You have excellent knowledge of English, as well oral as written, additional
languages preferable.
